Connect your Google Cloud Platform billing to Cloud Cost Intelligence to monitor and optimize costs. The integration uses service account-based authorization to securely access your GCP billing and pricing data. New Relic creates a dedicated service account with read-only access to your BigQuery datasets.
Before you begin
You need:
- GCP project connected to New Relic infrastructure monitoring - See Connect Google Cloud Platform services to New Relic
- Active GCP billing account
- BigQuery dataset with:
- Billing Export table
- Cloud Pricing Export table
- Google Cloud Console access
Setup instructions
Select New Relic account
- Go to one.newrelic.com > All Capabilities > Cloud Cost Intelligence - Google Cloud Platform.
- Select your account and click Continue.
Provide GCP connection details
- Enter your GCP billing and dataset information:
- Connection name - Descriptive name
- Project ID - Your GCP project ID
- Dataset name - Your BigQuery dataset name
- Billing table name - Your billing table name
- Pricing table name - Your pricing table name
- Click Continue.
Authorize access
- Copy the service account ID displayed.
- Open Google Cloud Console and grant BigQuery DataViewer role to the service account for your BigQuery billing tables.
- Return and click Continue.
Create connection
Click Create connection to verify configuration and establish the integration.
View your data
Go to Intelligent summary to view your GCP cost data.
